CINNAMON:

Thought to reduce blood sugar, relieve arthritis pain, reduce inflammation, strengthen tooth enamel and gums, relieve cramps and congestion, thin blood, aid digestion and fight microbial activity.

CARDAMOM:

Thought to aid with indigestion, colic, gas and is a general warming agent.

CLOVES:

Believed to be an anti-fungal, anti-microbial, and digestion aid. Many use cloves for topical pain relief, especially for toothache.

BLACK PEPPER:

Long used in India to treat disease, it is believed to decrease intestinal gas, lower fever, and has been used to treat asthma, hemorrhoids, obesity, sore throats and skin diseases.

BLACK TEA:

Well known as a mild stimulant, black tea is also thought to have anti-Cancer, anti-spasmodic, anti-viral properties as well. It has also been thought helpful as an appetite depressant and nervine.

GINGER:

Ginger is found in many teas because of its wonderful warming quality. It is also believed to be a mild stimulant and diaphoretic – helping with colds, coughs and flu. Some perhaps lesser-known areas of benefit may be in kidney function, lungs and the digestion of fatty foods. It is also thought to prevent vertigo and motion sickness.
