Kosher and Gluten Free

Many beekeepers believe lavender to be among the honeybee's favorite flowering species because of the relatively large amount of nectar it produces and the hardy nature of the plant.

Savannah Bee Company Lavender Honey is made from the nectar of Lavandula stoechas luisieri, which grows wild on the border between Spain and Portugal and blankets the mountainsides in purple flowers during the month of May.

Lavender honey is a sought after varietal popular around the world. Most companies sell a French varietal of lavender honey, while others only sell lavender-infused honey. Ours is neither. And that is what makes ours an incredible find. We hope you enjoy it.

Wildflower Honey

Tasting Notes: Complex, sweet, and robust
Region: South Central Georgia
Pairings: Delicious in smoothies, yogurt parfaits or homemade granola

Kosher and Gluten Free

Sometimes at Savannah Bee we refer to our Georgia Wildflower Honey as the little sister of our signature Tupelo Honey. It's slightly darker than Tupelo but maintains a similar texture and viscosity, and tastes a wee bit sweeter. Savannah Bee Wildflower Honey is a polyfloral variety, meaning many types of nectar were collected by our bees to create it. Most likely, those nectar sources are white holly, gallberry, sawtooth palmetto, and tulip poplar. The flavor depends on the remote Georgia wildflower blossoms and the whimsy of the bees. It's the perfect "all-around" honey.

Orange Blossom Honey is floral, fruity, and incredibly aromatic. It can add dimension to many foods, drinks, and sauces, and is particularly good for baking.

This fragrant, light amber honey comes from sunny Central Florida, an area of the US famous for its abundance of orange groves. Beekeepers from around the nation bring their hives here in March and April so the hardworking honeybees can pollinate the blossoming trees, which allows us the pleasure of having oranges to eat.

The bees also collect the fragrant nectar from the orange blossoms and turn it into a delicious, candy-sweet honey. As soon as the trees lose their blossoms, these skilled beekeepers extract the Orange Blossom Honey, making sure to keep it separate from the other spring honey.

Orange Blossom Honey is our earliest harvest of the season and a sure sign that summer is on the way. It's like sunshine in a jar!

Black Sage, Salvia mellifera, is a wild desert sage that grows in the Sierra Nevada mountains. To produce enough blossoms for honeybees to make a crop of Black Sage Honey, this desert plant must get just the right amount of rain at just the right time of year. Many years can pass before black sage plants experience this delicate balance of rainfall and aridness, which is one reason why Black Sage Honey is so special. Black Sage is a very unique, rare honey harvested only four seasons per decade from regions like the Sierras.
